As part of our Power Electronics Team, the DSP Engineer will be developing and integrating software for magniX's electric propulsion systems. responsible for full life-cycle development (plan, design, verify, certify) of embedded software for control of electric power systems, typically done in C, and certifying to aerospace standards (following DO178).
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test and verify embedded software for the motor controller following DO178 requirements.
Be responsible for embedded code and integration on the target DSP multi core.
Diagnose, debug and solve issues to meet production milestones
Support Hardware and software integration in an Agile development environment.
Take on additional duties and responsibilities within magniX as part of the team effort and being a member of a small, engaged, and proactive team.
Requirements
B.S. degree in Software Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science.
At least 5 years experience in embedded software development/verification, preferably using DO178 or similar industry standards.
Design and development software experience on DSP dual core (TMS320F2833X/ TMS320F2837X)
Experience with power electronics preferred
Experience with aspects of the software life cycle process including planning, decomposition of system requirements to high-level software requirements, low-level requirements, architecture, code, verification, and certification.
In-depth knowledge of the C coding language. Strong C/C++ development experience.
Understanding of quality software development processes.
