X-Ray Technician

Pay Rate: $62 per hour - $67 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Operate or oversee operation of radiologic and magnetic imaging equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures and adhere to safety measures to ensure compliance with regulations and safety of patients and staff.
• Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients.
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
• Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
• Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and troubleshooting malfunctions.
• Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock and anticipating needed supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by maintaining regulatory CME requirements and attending educational workshops.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Complete yearly Age Specific Competency.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
