X-Ray Technician

Pay Rate: $52 per hour - $62 per hour

Summary:

• Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM

Responsibilities:

• Identify patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients and others to understand service needs.
• Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and setting equipment controls.
• Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
• Maintain production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures.
• Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records, including the completion and verification of exams.
• Ensure operation of radiology equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and maintaining equipment inventories.
• Maintain radiology supplies inventory by checking stock and anticipating needed supplies.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintain professional and technical knowledge by meeting regulatory CME requirements and participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Complete yearly Age Specific Competency.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• No experience required.
• N.Y. State Dept. of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist.
• Graduate of a JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.
• BLS - AHA Certification.
• New York State License (L.R.T).
• ARRT Certified.
