X-Ray Technician - Chicago, IL

Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years X-Ray experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a skilled professional with experience in Imaging, specifically as an X-ray Technologist/Radiologic Technologist. This contract-based position focuses on diagnostic imaging for adult patients in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 2:30pm – 11:00pm
• Rotating every other weekend
• Holidays as assigned
• 13-week contract

Key Qualifications:

• Current certification and registration as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent)
• Proven experience operating X-ray equipment for adult imaging
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare teams
• Thorough understanding of safety standards, infection control, and radiation protection protocols
• Proficiency in digital imaging systems and related technology
• Strong organizational and time management skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform high-quality X-ray imaging procedures as ordered by medical staff
• Accurately position patients to capture necessary diagnostic images
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout all imaging processes
• Maintain precise records and documentation related to imaging examinations
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support the overall care plan
• Monitor, maintain, and calibrate radiology equipment as required
• Adhere to all facility, state, and federal guidelines regarding radiological services
