X-Ray Technician

Required Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.
Current New Jersey State Radiologic Technologist License.
Current ARRT Certification required.
Current BLS Certification required.
Minimum of 18 months of recent X-Ray Technician experience.
Experience working independently in an acute care hospital environment.
Comfortable working in the Operating Room.
Experience using GE imaging equipment.
Preferred Skills

Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging equipment, including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Current knowledge of healthcare technology and imaging advancements.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated initiative and commitment to patient care excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Ensure all imaging and treatment processes comply with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
• Prepare patients for procedures and assess their physical and physiological comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Maintain and operate imaging equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and routine care.
• Coordinate daily imaging schedules and workflow to ensure efficient patient care.
• Monitor procedures for quality and identify opportunities for process improvements or revisions.
• Accurately document patient information and imaging results according to department standards.
• Perform imaging procedures in various settings, including the Operating Room.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
