    X-Ray Technologist\n \nArea: Southeastern North Carolina \n \nOffice Locations: Faison area \n \nAbout our Organization: Goshen Medical Center, Inc. (GMC) is a private 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, as well as a federally qualified health center (FQHC) organization. GMC originated in Faison, North Carolina in 1979 and now serves residents throughout eastern North Carolina. The health center's mission is to improve the lives of each and every one of our patients through quality health care. GMC operates twenty-nine site locations and provides individuals with medical, dental, and wellness care within its eight county service area. While Wayne, Duplin and Sampson counties are the bedrock of the Goshen Medical Center delivery system; Cumberland, Craven, Onslow, Jones, and Columbus Counties are included in the largest community health center system in the state of North Carolina. \n \nJob Description: \n \nThe Certified X-Ray Technician (ARRT-R) position at Goshen Medical Center, Faison is a professional diagnostic imaging technologist. The Technician must be highly accurate in their positioning and exposure techniques in order to optimize the image and maintain radiation safety standards. The Technician will contribute to the operation of the site and promotes the mission of the organization to ensure the quality and continuity of patient care according to age specific guidelines and the patient-centered philosophy. The technologist will also promote the growth of the site through community involvement and outreach. \n \nExamples of Job Responsibilities: \n \nPrepares facilities in accordance with procedural requirements; calibrates equipment as required. \n \nRespond to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process \n \nPrepares and positions patient for procedures as appropriate; assists patients at end of procedure. \n \nUnderstands and uses correct exposure factors, compression and angulation in order to produce high quality images. \n \nMonitors the patient's physical condition and ensure their comfort during the procedure; report patient change of status or emergency situations to clinical staff and site leader. \n \nDetermines if the procedure was sufficient, or if additional imaging procedures are needed; consult with Radiologist as necessary. \n \nProvides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation. \n \nCompletes all documentation, including computerized documentation. \n \nPreliminary setup and continuous maintenance of all manuals (i.e. QC/QA, Policy & Procedure, etc.) for annual analysis and inspection \n \nMaintains stock supplies and assists administrators in determining quantities for purchase. \n \nPerforms general office duties such recording procedure codes for billing purposes, typing forms, and scheduling patients. \n \nEnsures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices. \n \nInitial facility (site) accreditation (e.g. American College of Radiology) \n \nReaccreditation process will occur every three years \n \nOther assigned duties \n \nCredentials \n \nCertified X-Ray Technician (ARRT-R) \n \nCPR/BLS Certification \n \nLicensure and Certification(s) must be current and must be maintained as a condition of employment. \n \nClinical Experience & Skills Requirements: \n \nTwo (2) Years Clinical Experience/Skills \n \nGood Computer & Communication Skills \n \nWork-Up Patients for X-Ray \n \nObtain Radiologist Reports for Goshen providers and patient electronic medical record. \n \nPrinting X-Ray CD's for Patients, as requested. \n \nComply with Quality Assurance & Control Manual and Radiation Safety Manual. \n \nOther Assigned Duties \n \nPreferred Experience & Skills: \n \nBilingual (Spanish) (preferred but not required) \n \nElectronic Medical Record experience (preferred but not required) \n \nPhysical Requirements: \n \nMust be able to work in a dynamic and active environment \n \nPosition may require long periods of standing or walking \n \nRegular and recurring back bending may be required \n \nCarrying of light packages (e.g. 10 to 25 lbs.) may be required \n \nRequired Materials to Apply for Position: \n \nResume \n \nJob Type: Full-time \n\n
