Overview:
Assists the Manager of Radiology in directing and supervising the work of all technical personnel. Coordinates work flow of department. Acts as first line manager to resolve issues.
Responsibilities:
- Works closely with management team in Radiology to ensure excellent patient flow and proper staffing
- Assigns duties to all technologists and monitors image quality upon completion
- Supervises OR control, ER, Cysto, and handles all technical problems
- Performs all radiological procedures within the scope of license and realm of training
- Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients
- Assists in training of students and ancillary personnel
- Tracks patients and appropriately uses RIS (Radiology Information System, EMR and Patient Transport Tracking system
- Patient care responsibilities are delivered with a knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served
- As required, transports patients to and from X-Ray Department
- Interacts professionally with patients and families
- Maintains appropriate inventory supply for efficient operation of Department / Division
Qualifications:
Graduation from an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology; ARRT andcurrent NYS license as a Registered Radiologic Technologist or Registry eligible. Current BCLS Certificate required (either American Red Cross or American Heart Association). New employees will be required to produce a current BCLS certificate within 6 months from date of hire. Good interpersonal skills. Speaks, reads and writes English to the extent required by the position. 2 years of experience required. Experience as Lead Technologist preferred.
Pay Range:
USD $64.34 - USD $64.88 /Hr.
