Yard Associate - Metals Manufacturing

Sort and upgrade materials to meet quality standards per established protocols. Operate small equipment as needed to process and prepare material prior to shipment.Schedule

Monday - Friday, some Saturdays as needed7:45am to 4:30pm

Responsibilities

Sort, process and inventory material (Non-Ferrous Metals) by operating shears, balers, loaders and forkliftsAssist with purchasing various grades of recyclable materials from customers.Support customers with the unloading of materials.Assist with preparing, packing, and loading materials for shipment.Sort and process materials in accordance with company standards.Operate equipment such as loaders, forklifts, or other machinery as neededAssist with vehicle and appliance processing activitiesConduct basic inspections and documentation as requiredMaintain inventory accuracy and assist with material trackingMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

Six months' small equipment experience is preferredEquipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledgeBasic computer skillsGood interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAccuracy in operation and attention to detailKnowledge in inventory control
