Description
Position Summary
The Yard Associate is an entry-level position designed for individuals ready to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your primary responsibility will be to assist with the efficient flow of materials, maintaining a clean and safe yard while supporting inventory management. This role offers hands-on experience and opportunities for growth within our company.
Key Responsibilities
Material Handling: Load and unload trucks using forklifts or other equipment, ensuring products are handled safely and efficiently.
Order Fulfillment: Prepare orders for dispatch by accurately selecting and organizing materials based on customer requirements.
Inventory Management:Assist in organizing and maintaining inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and proper storage of materials.
Yard Maintenance: Keep the yard clean, safe, and organized by performing routine maintenance and adhering to safety standards.
Equipment Operation: Safely operate forklifts, loaders, and other yard equipment following company guidelines and training.
Collaboration: Work closely with the operations and sales teams to meet customer needs and ensure timely deliveries.
Requirements
· What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Prior experience in a warehouse or yard environment is a plus, but not required.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to lift upto 60 lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
Familiarity with forklifts or willingness to obtain forklift certification (training provided).
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a team-oriented mindset.
Commitment to workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
