Yard Driver 2nd Shift 1:30pm-10pm

JOB TITLE: Yard Driver                                                                                    CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, non-exemptREPORTS TO: Warehouse Operations Manager and Shift SupervisorBASIC FUNCTION:The Yard Driver is responsible for switching out empty and loaded trailers in yard and ensuring trailers are secured and sealed for transport.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and safely lift, turn, position and transfer product accordingly
• Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Must have a satisfactory background check, a valid CDL A License and satisfactory driving record
• Must have the flexibility to work any shift required by customer and business needs
• 1-2 years driving experience, preferred with clear MVR
• Must be proficient in driving a standard or automatic tractor

RESPSONSIBLITIES:

• Move and organize tractor trailers within the space and ensure that they are ready for unloading, loading and transport
• Maintain a good driving record and CDL endorsement
• Maintain medical card and keep current
• Operate the truck/trailer units in safe manner
• Comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other standards and regulations
• Conduct daily paperwork (BOL, Receipts, Etc.)
• Conduct daily inspections of tractor and trailers to keep clean and free of damage
• Prepare daily inspection reporting and daily activity sheets
• Must be available to work overtime when needed
• Other duties as assigned
