Location: Port of Catoosa, OK
Pay: $17 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–4:30 PM
Must be flexible with hours and workload
Job Overview
HireCall is seeking a reliable and hardworking Yard Hand-Puller to join a busy lumber/materials yard at the Port of Catoosa. This position is responsible for pulling and preparing customer orders, loading and unloading materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and keeping the yard clean and safe.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working outdoors, handling materials, operating equipment, and providing excellent customer service.
Major Responsibilities
Cut and package materials as directed to prepare products for customer use
Pull and prepare customer orders accurately
Load orders onto customer vehicles and company delivery vehicles
Load, unload, stock, and pull merchandise as needed
Maintain accurate quantities of materials and inventory records
Inspect incoming materials for correct quantity and condition
Assist customers with unloading materials from company vehicles
Keep the lumber yard and warehouse clean, organized, and free of debris
Safely maintain and operate company equipment
Use hand trucks and forklifts to move materials
Inspect equipment daily and report maintenance or safety concerns to a supervisor or manager
Immediately report all accidents or incidents occurring in the yard to a supervisor and complete required incident reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Previous lumber yard, building materials, or related industry experience preferred
Forklift experience required
Hand truck experience required
Ability to read and use a tape measure required
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Customer-focused attitude
Safety-conscious work habits
Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials
Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions
Must be dependable and flexible
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the workday
Ability to lift and move heavy materials safely
Ability to work in an active yard environment
Must be able to follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
