Pay Rate: $27.50 per hour + OT after 8 + DT after 12

Schedule: Monday - Sunday (With 2 days along the week off) Start Time 8 PM OR 10 PM

What You'll Do

• Drive and maneuver yard goats & trailers from dock to dock, switching out empty trailers with full trailers to keep production moving.
• Perform pre- and post-trips daily.
• Chock rear wheels and be aware of safety hazards in all weather conditions.
• Check trailers before pulling away from the dock doors.
• Interact and take direction from dispatchers or warehouse managers consistently through radio and on-board computer system.

Driving Requirements

• 22+ years of age
• Valid license
• Clear MVR
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)
• Must be safety-minded
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, moving approximately 80+ moves per shift, with a VERY tight yard
• The ability to blindside back
• Strong communication skills

What You Will Do

As a Yard Hostler you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.

A Yard Hostler helps keep commerce moving by safely transporting products where they are needed. This role requires excellent driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain professional standards while working independently.

The Yard Hostler combines safe driving practices with strong communication and organizational skills to support efficient transportation operations. Vehicle inspections, route awareness, and customer interaction are important aspects of professional driving.
