Essential Duties Responsibilities:

• Must have a Class A License or a current Class A permit
• Ability to safely load trucks and hostler trailers.
• Demonstrated ability to learn complex systems and concepts.
• Comfortable with PLC and controlled equipment.
• Must work around cleaning chemicals and be able to lift and carry 65 lbs.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Frequently check and refuel refer units in a timely manner throughout the shift.
• Upholds highest quality, safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Expected to perform any duties necessary to support the team.
• Responsible for maintaining documentation associated with operations.
• Communicate clearly with incoming drivers from our outside suppliers.
• Upholds quality, safety, and cleanliness standards within designated areas.
• Ability and working knowledge on how to maintain the yard goat during day-to-day functions.
• Communicates with other team members to ensure efficient plant operations.
• Set-up oncoming shift for successful run.
• Complete hourly trailer checks for fuel, refer faults, ensure refrigerators are running and rear doors are closed when in use.
• Expected to perform any duties necessary to support the team.
• Obtain information necessary to perform duties at pre-shift tailgate meetings and by meeting with off-going Line Technician.

SQF Requirements…

• Maintaining food safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the yard area in a sanitary manner.
• Report food safety problems to personal with authority to initiate action.
• Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Excellent troubleshooting skills
• Solid mechanical skills
• Computer knowledge is essential
• Ability to work well with people
• Excellent communication skills
• Multi-tasked Individual
• Ability to work independently
• Class A Driver’s License Permit is Required

Skills and Competencies

• Sitting: Long periods in the yard truck
• Bending: Frequently
• Lifting: Heavy (50+ lbs) frequently
• Carrying: Heavy (40-60 lbs) frequently distance Pushing/Pulling: under 75 lbs without assistance frequently
• Climbing: Frequently

This position is graveyard position and will be working 12 hr shifts.  Hours are 5 pm to 5:30 am

For candidates based in California, this position starts at $25.60/hr per the CBA.
