Yard Jockey I

Responsible for ensuring trucks and trailers are positioned in the appropriate location and they are maintained and functioning properly.

1. Position trucks and trailer at the appropriate dock location.
2. Turn on refer units and ensure the units are functioning properly.
3. Ensure the cooler and freezer areas of the trailer are at appropriate temperatures prior to products being loaded.
4. Hook tractors with assigned trailers.
5. Deliver truck to fuel island for re-fueling purposes.
6. Make special deliveries and pick-ups utilizing a non-DOT vehicle.
7. Run equipment through wash bay and hand polish chromes wheels and bumpers as assigned.
8. Maintain daily activity log to reflect positioning, fueling, repairs, etc. by equipment and type.
9. Hand polish chrome wheels and bumpers.

(Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

Education
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Technical / Trade / Sheetz training preferred

Experience
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience with a clear MVR required

Licenses/Certifications
• Valid Class C Driver’s License required

Tools & Equipment 
• Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, wrench, level, etc.)
