Yard Laborer
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $21/hour
We are looking for reliable, hard-working Yard Laborers to join a busy scaffolding and material yard. This is a very physical, hands-on outdoor position focused on inventory preparation, organizing materials, pulling orders, and keeping the yard running efficiently.
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working outdoors, doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. This is a physical labor position with frequent manual lifting and material handling.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and organize scaffolding and related materials for inventory
- Re-rack and organize materials throughout the yard
- Pull and stage customer orders
- Count incoming materials and verify quantities
- Put materials away and maintain organized inventory
- Load, unload, move, and handle materials throughout the yard
- Operate a forklift to move materials as needed
- Assist with general yard maintenance and organization
- Perform other physical labor and material-handling duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable performing heavy physical labor throughout the workday
- Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Comfortable with frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and moving materials
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Strong attention to detail when counting and organizing inventory
- Able to follow safety procedures and instructions
- Team player who is willing to help wherever needed
Important Schedule & Attendance Expectations
A brief mandatory safety meeting begins at 7:00 AM sharp every morning. Candidates must be ready to work and present for the meeting at 7:00 AM — arriving at 7:03 AM is considered late.
Required Work Attire & PPE
Candidates must arrive properly dressed for the work environment:
- Steel-toe or composite-toe boots are required — shoes are not permitted. Boots must cover the entire ankle.
- Blue jeans or Dickies-style work pants are required.
- No shorts.
- Long-sleeve shirt required.
- Hardhat required.
- Candidates may bring their own hardhat as long as it is not yellow.
- A hardhat will be provided to candidates who do not have their own.
- All other required PPE will be provided.
