    Job Description

Lead the Yard. Move the Work. Keep Inventory Flowing.

Step into a full-time, long-term role with real growth opportunity. You’ll anchor first shift operations (7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) with overtime as needed, guiding materials through the yard and warehouse while operating heavy equipment with confidence.

    A Day in the Role

You’ll start by reviewing open picks and cycle counts, then head outside to stage utility materials, sort returns, and document any damages. You’ll operate heavy JLG equipment (including all-terrain forklifts/telehandlers) to move loads up to 12,000 lbs, load and unload trucks and trailers, and drive company flatbeds or pickup trucks to local yards—no overnight travel. Throughout the day, you’ll coordinate with teammates and vendors, act as a spotter when needed, and keep the storeroom organized and accurate.

    What You’ll Own

    • Storeroom oversight: cycle counts, staging, organization, and reporting.
    • Heavy equipment operation (JLG/telehandler/all-terrain forklift) for large, awkward materials.
    • Yard work outdoors: sorting, staging, and documenting damages.
    • Truck loading/unloading for inbound and outbound shipments.
    • Local material moves using company flatbeds or pickups (no overnights).
    • Team and vendor coordination; serve as a safe, reliable spotter.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • Clear communication for spotting, directing, and completing tasks.
    • Hands-on warehouse and inventory experience.
    • Comfort with Excel, Outlook, and Word.
    • Outdoor heavy equipment operation in a construction or laydown yard environment.
    • Preferred: experience with all-terrain forklifts, telehandlers, cranes, and other JLG equipment.
    • Safety-minded, punctual, team-first, respectful, and self-motivated.

    Physical Realities

    • Lift and carry up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
    • Stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
    • Work indoors and outdoors in heat and inclement weather.
    • Confidently move long, awkward materials using heavy equipment.

    Benefits that Back You

    • Health Insurance after 30 days (HSA and PPO options), plus Vision and Dental.
    • 40 hours of PTO every 6 months.
    • Paid Holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
    • Funeral Pay and Jury Duty Pay.
    • Great work-life balance.

    Tools You’ll Use

    • Forklifts (including all-terrain/telehandlers) and related JLG equipment.
