Now Hiring: Yard Operators
Location: Oklahoma City, OK
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (may shift to 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM)
Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Positions Available: 2Position Overview:People Source is hiring two Yard Operators for a steel yard in OKC. Yard Operators support loader operators with receiving, storing, and distributing steel pipe and related materials. This hands-on position plays a vital role in maintaining an organized, efficient, and safe yard and shop environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in loading/unloading trucks and verifying incoming/outgoing materials
  • Match purchase and shipping orders; distribute documentation to appropriate teams
  • Move items throughout the yard and shop using proper material handling procedures
  • Sort and place inventory in designated storage areas
  • Perform inventory counts and verify product accuracy
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the yard and shop
  • Operate basic yard tools such as weed eaters, mowers, brooms, etc.
  • Safely perform truck loading and unloading using straps, wood blocks, and tools
  • Label materials accurately and document inventory movement
  • May assist with minor facility maintenance tasks as needed
  • Maintain safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
Requirements:
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong physical stamina (must lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly and over 100 lbs occasionally)
  • Comfortable using yard tools and warehouse equipment
  • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting
  • Must be dependable, organized, and safety-focused
  • Prior yard or warehouse experience preferred (1–2 years ideal)
