Yard Truck Driver

Start your new career as a Yard Switcher with MAU at GITI Tires in Richburg SC. As a Yard Switcher you will safely operate a yard truck to move trailers assist with loading operations and ensure efficient yard and dock operations.

What Were Looking For  

• High school diploma or GED
• CDL-A license in good standing
• 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience
• Sit-down forklift experience
• Satisfactory driving record
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to interact effectively with individuals at different levels
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts 2-2-3 schedule day or night
• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments including non-climate-controlled conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally with frequent lifting of 30-50 pounds
• Ability to stand walk sit bend kneel squat climb and balance for extended periods
• Vision abilities including close distance and peripheral vision with depth perception

What Youll Do as a Yard Switcher  

• Operate yard trucks yard dog or day cab to move trailers within the facility yard
• Load secure and unload cargo as needed
• Maintain communication with the site regarding pickup instructions and schedule changes
• Assist team members with loading tires when required
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently and on time
• Demonstrate willingness to learn new skills and processes
• Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company policies
• Work collaboratively with team members and provide excellent customer service
• Perform additional duties as assigned
