The Yard/Warehouse Rep I receives, stocks, ships, orders and counts inventory items. This is an entry level position that is responsible for the safe operation of a forklift in order to stock all lumber and building materials. Perform duties within the established work and safety procedures. What you will do: \u2022 Operate safely. \u2022 Participate in a positive work environment. \u2022 Assist warehouse associates and direct supervisor in maintaining an organized work environment. \u2022 May include, emptying trash receptacles, and keeping all bays and staging areas clean and organized. \u2022 Receive incoming products, commodities, and materials. \u2022 Provides Excellent Customer Service. \u2022 Count and record receipt of materials. \u2022 Stock all material received in appropriate bins or storage locations. \u2022 Assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials. \u2022 Comply with all company policies and guidelines. \u2022 Operate forklift with foot and hand controls. \u2022 May use forklift to build outgoing orders or to load completed orders onto delivery equipment. \u2022 Operate facility equipment as necessary (e.g. bander, power tools, various hand tools). \u2022 Monitor inventory as required by location management. \u2022 Retain an awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results. \u2022 Participate in and complete assigned trainings. \u2022 Other duties as assigned by Management. Education Qualifications: \u2022 High School Diploma or GED required. Experience Qualifications: \u2022 No experience Required Skills and Abilities: \u2022 Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms. \u2022 Ability/willingness to learn to read a tape measure. \u2022 Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors using verbal and written skills. \u2022 Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems. \u2022 Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, Inventory Control Systems, and other necessary business applications).
