Yard Worker
Fort Myers, FL 3 Month contract with extension potential
Full-Time TempExperts is seeking a dependable Yard Worker to support yard and material-handling operations in Fort Myers, FL. This position will be responsible for organizing and inspecting equipment, preparing materials for delivery, and maintaining a safe and orderly yard environment.
Responsibilities:
Load, unload, move, and stage scaffolding, access equipment, and construction materials.
Inspect equipment for damage and report repair or maintenance needs.
Clean, sort, organize, and store materials in designated yard locations.
Pull and prepare orders for customer delivery and pickup.
Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment when certified.
Assist with inventory counts and equipment tracking.
Assist drivers and warehouse personnel with material staging and loading needs.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard and work area.
Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Previous warehouse, yard, construction, or material-handling experience preferred.
Forklift experience or certification preferred.
Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to perform physically demanding work involving frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Dependable and able to work effectively as part of a team.
