Description
Gain hands-on legal experience with Union Pacific Railroad's Law Department while supporting paralegals across labor, employment, personal injury, real estate, regulatory, and transactional matters. The paralegal intern will assist with document review and analysis, fact gathering, legal research, drafting legal documents, and other assigned projects.
The ideal candidate will have completed at least two years of college-level study in Paralegal Studies by the internship start date and will bring strong writing, communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
This position is intended for students who are actively pursuing a degree while attending a college or university within commuting distance of Omaha, Nebraska and are interested in gaining hands-on legal experience within Union Pacifics Law Department. During the academic year, this position offers a flexible schedule averaging 15-20 hours per week. Interns are expected to work primarily onsite at Union Pacific Center in Omaha, Nebraska, with some flexibility for remote work as approved by their manager. Interns are also expected to work full-time in Omaha, Nebraska, during the summer portion of the internship.
The estimated wage for this position is between $21.00-$25.00 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
