Description
Join Our Team as a Heavy Equipment / Yellow Iron Mechanic!
? Location: Heart of Florida Landfill – Lake Panasoffkee, FL
? Schedule: Monday–Friday | Saturdays as needed
? Pay: $35-$45 hour DOE
What You’ll Do:
+ Perform repairs andpreventive maintenanceon a variety of heavy equipment.
+ Diagnose and fix electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems.
+ Work with a fleet of yellow iron equipment including compactors, dozers, excavators, motor graders, water trucks, and articulated dump trucks.
+ Operate bulldozers, wheel loaders, motor graders, and scrapers. (Compactor experience is a plus!)
+ Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
What We’re Looking For:
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ 3–5 years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and yellow iron equipment.
+ Ability to read, write, and communicate technical service information.
+ CDLpreferred (but not required at time of hire).
+ Strong knowledge ofheavy equipment operationand maintenance.
+ Ability to lift over 50 lbs and work in physically demanding conditions.
