The Y serves as an anchor in the community offering programs and services in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.About the Job The Facility Housekeeping Technician keeps assigned areas clean and clear, assists with meeting set‑ups, laundry functions, monitoring cleaning chemical storage, and responding to spills and emergencies.Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas, including men's locker room and building common spaces.Perform sweeping, mopping, and surface care.Assist with laundry functions as needed.Assist in set‑up for meetings and special events.Monitor and maintain cleaning chemical storage rooms and bulk trash storage areas.Respond to accidents, spills, and housekeeping emergencies.Qualifications and Skills High school diploma or GED.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Knowledge of cleaning chemical capabilities, mixing proportions, and use.Knowledge of maintenance and care of finished surfaces.Ability to operate cleaning equipment (vacuums, buffers, etc.).Schedule Sunday – Thursday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.Benefits Free YMCA membership for employee, spouse, and dependents.Paid time off, sick leave, and holidays.Medical, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan with employer contribution.Professional development opportunities.Equal Opportunity Employer.
