These positions support the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Creates positive, nurturing relationships with children, while building cooperative relationships with parents/caregivers. Promotes and supports the potential of all youth in programs and facilitates peer-to-peer connections as part of the overall camp experience.
Travel Camp Schedule:
This program travels to various program locations across the Capital Region each week. Applicants must possess reliable transportation to report each week to the assigned locations below.
Week 2: Starting July 6th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp Week 3: Starting July 13th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp Week 4: Starting July 20th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp Week 5: Starting July 27th - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp Week 6: Starting August 3rd - Southern Saratoga YMCA / YMCA Adventure Camp
Additional Work Shifts:
There will be availability for candidates to work summer day camp for week where travel camp is not running.

Camp Unit Leaders Camp Unit Leader - $16.43 per hour - Manages a group of campers Required Documents: • Resume (with all childcare experience) • Must be 18 years of age • CPR, First Aid, AED certifications and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date • Must have knowledge of crafts, archery, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc. • Previous experience working with children in camping, recreation, teaching, childcare, or physical education is required • All credentials must be uploaded in the Documents section of your Presence (Profile) before an offer of employment can be extended.
