The Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) Coordinator provides leadership, coordination, and supervision of ACPE-accredited programs across Yale New Haven Health System. This role is responsible for curriculum development, program administration, faculty collaboration, and ensuring compliance with ACPE standards. The Manager also mentors CPE students and fosters integration of spiritual care education within the healthcare environment. This is a system-wide role requiring vision, collaboration, and a commitment to advancing spiritual care education in a diverse, multi-faith, and multi-disciplinary setting.

Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Development
Coordinate and oversee CPE programs (Levels I, II, and Certified Educator Candidate) across multiple delivery networks.
Partner with the System Director and administrative staff to manage daily operations.
Lead strategic planning and innovation for system-wide CPE initiatives.
Develop and implement curriculum, preceptor training, and faculty professional development.
Ensure compliance with ACPE accreditation standards.
Supervision & Education
Teach, supervise, and mentor CPE students (Levels I, II, and Certified Educator Candidates).
Evaluate student progress and facilitate interdisciplinary learning.
Support clinical integration of spiritual care education into patient care teams.
Develop curricula and educational resources to support student formation.
Administrative Oversight
Manage program budgets, admissions, onboarding, and scheduling.
Collaborate with HR on recruitment, evaluation, and professional development of CPE staff.
Maintain accurate records, portfolios, and reports for accreditation and internal review.
Collaboration & Outreach
Partner with chaplaincy teams, clinical staff, and leadership to strengthen integration of spiritual care.
Represent CPE on system committees and initiatives.
Promote the program through outreach, marketing, and community engagement.
