The Yoga Instructor will provide structured yoga instruction to all youth residing at RJMCC RTC, supporting physical, emotional, and sensory well-being. This role is ideal for a certified yoga instructor who has experience and/or specialized training in working with individuals with special needs, including autism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate age-appropriate and ability-sensitive yoga sessions for youth residents
  • Teach basic and/or simplified yoga poses tailored to varying physical, sensory, and developmental needs
  • Instruct participants in relaxation techniques and controlled breathing exercises
  • Create a calm, supportive, and inclusive environment that promotes engagement and emotional regulation
  • Adapt instruction as needed to ensure safety, accessibility, and participation for all youth
  • Collaborate with facility staff to align sessions with therapeutic and behavioral support goals
