    The Landform team is about to become even more dynamic - you could be our Planning Lead.

    We work in a studio model where everyone works side-by-side throughout each projects lifecycle, so you can focus on great work as you collaborate with people across roles and experience levels. Three studios make up the firm: Planning & Urban Design, Retail & Commercial Design, and Residential Design. Civil engineers, planners, land surveyors, development managers, landscape architects and administrative support roles are part of the team.

    Youll come with knowledge of qualifications, competencies, requirements, capabilities, and knowledge:

    Required:

    A Bachelors degree in planning, administration, or urban design with 10+ years of experience Experience in municipal community development Experience in economic development or urban planning Excellent research skills Critical thinking skills Knowledge of GIS and Adobe Creative Cloud May need to attend client meetings, including evening meetings Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other employees, agencies, or clients Ability to comfortably work in a Windows and Microsoft environment Basic understanding of the software necessary to complete the level of communication needed Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job Good verbal and written communication skills This may include travel to client locations

    Desired:

    A Masters degree in planning, public administration or similar AICP certification

    Youll be expected to do/job responsibilities/tasks: Familiarize yourself with Landforms Mission, Vision, and Values in your everyday work, such as:

RELATIONSHIPS: assist other team members; communicate appropriately with clients, jurisdictional staff, and contractors. ENTHUSIASM: positive attitude, punctuality, strong work ethic, high utilization.

    Using the software and tools provided, become familiar with and use Landforms systems and standards to:

    Lead planning projects, including project management, community engagement and design Lead public meetings and other community engagement efforts Advocate for planning processes within a multidisciplinary environment Actively participate in marketing and business development for the studio Lead preparation of ordinance updates, master plans and comprehensive plans Provide planning support to other Studios and their development clients. Prepare site investigation due diligence reports Support other Planners with municipal clients Review development applications on behalf of municipal clients, including preparation of staff reports Prepare development applications and narratives for the other Studios Prepare ordinance updates, master plans and comprehensive plans. Provide planning support to other Studios and their private development clients.
