Once Upon a Childcare is looking for an experienced Young Toddler Teacher to join our team! We work every day to create a supportive, family environment where your contributions are valued and you matter to us as a person, not just an employee. 



Responsibilities:
  • Create a weekly lesson plan suitable for children in your care
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.) to teach children
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments
  • Guide children in developing their artistic and practical skills through a carefully constructed curriculum (e.g., identifying shapes, numbers, colors, art, etc.).
  • Track children's progress and report to parents
  • Communicate regularly with parents to understand the children's backgrounds and psyches.
  • Collaborate with other educators.
  • Maintain a clean, tidy classroom in accordance with health and safety standards.
We're open Monday-Friday from 7:00 to 5:30 - no late nights or weekends.
 



Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in a licensed childcare facility is a plus!
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Ability to act as a mediator between children
  • Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable
  • Certification in child CPR or willingness to obtain
