Overview:

Be a part of a ground-breaking new program! Join Helio Health's Youth Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team (formerly Circare), serving families and youth in Onondaga County. This multi-disciplinary team will work with children ages 10 to 21 and their families to provide intensive intervention to support complex needs, as well as keeping children at risk of hospitalization or residential care in their homes.

 

Seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional - Counselor II who will provide clinical treatment to enrolled Youth ACT children, in collaboration with medical professionals and the 8-person Youth ACT Team. This community-based program position is full-time, during regular business hours, M-F, with periodic after-hours and weekend on-call duties. Looking for a candidate who is committed to supporting children with complex mental health needs and their families and is experienced and comfortable with providing services in the home and in the community.

 

Pay Rate:$29.42 per hour

 

This position is eligible for a Sign On Incentive of up to $8,000 based on licensure!

Responsibilities:
  • Provide treatment to the child and their family/caregivers to address the clinical needs of the child and the complex needs of the family unit.
  • Utilize individualized treatment and evidence-based practices to address identified clinical and family system needs.
  • Actively participate in daily team meetings for status review, service plan updates and staff assignments.
  • Update case records daily.
  • Complete all required documentation.
Qualifications:
  • A NYS Licensed Psychologist, Licensed Clinical/Masters Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or Licensed Creative Arts Therapist.
    • Limited Permit holders are eligible.
  • Prefer experience with multi-disciplinary in-home and community-based services
  • Strong background in recovery-based and person-centered behavioral health services
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and own transportation:
    • Helio Health's insurance carrier requires that employees who drive personal vehicles for work maintain minimum auto insurance coverage limits of at least $100,000/person; $300,000/accident and that employees provide HR with proof of current minimum insurance coverage (copy of Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page) on their first day of employment. Employees are required to provide an updated Auto Liability Insurance Declaration Page to HR by expiration date on Declaration Page.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Good data management and utilization skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Multilingual a plus.

Salary and hourly compensation offers are based on candidate's education level and experience relevant to the position and also take into account information provided by the hiring manager and program.
