We are the pinnacle of sports, events, and entertainment.POSITION SUMMARY:Youth Sports Instructors will run the facility's youth sports programs, including, but not limited to: Leagues, Developmental Classes (ages 3-10), After-School/Home School programs, Clinics, Camps, Private/Semi-private Training sessions, and Birthday Parties. **The majority of our programming is geared toward athletes ages 3-10**Coaching at Iron Peak requires a demonstrated ability to motivate and direct young players. The ideal candidate will have formal experience coaching youth players and be familiar with contemporary coaching methodology. Applicants should be able to construct, articulate, and execute proper sessions and deliver curriculum in line with organizational philosophy. NOTE: Candidates must not currently be employed with competing venue or partner organization.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:Teaching relevant skills, tactics, and techniques (sometimes through fun and imaginative games to very young/beginner athletes). Monitoring, evaluating, and enhancing athlete performance and needsProviding suitable feedback via positivity, encouragement, example, and motivationDemonstrating an activity by breaking down the task or technique into a sequenceCommunicating instructions using clear, simple languageMust enjoy interacting with a wide age range of athletes and be able to teach to an individual and groupFriendly and courteous with athletes, parents, and Iron Peak team membersIdentifying athlete strengths and areas for developmentNeat in appearance and professional in manner and communicationInspiring confidence and self-beliefEnsuring a safe environment for all athletesImplementing the curriculum in an accurate, creative, positive, and efficient fashion Adaptation of curriculum and activities to different learning styles Ability to engage beginner players with your fun, encouraging, dynamic, and magnetic personality. DESIRED/REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Must be at least 18 years of ageAt least 2 years of coaching experienceLicenses/Certifications a plusMust have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skillsMust be willing to work a flexible schedule, predominately evenings, and arrive ahead of game timeMust possess current CPR/FIRST AID certifications, or willingness to obtain within a specified period of timeWORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to move or lift lightweight equipment (goals into place, etc.)Position requires standing and activity for extended periods of time (in sometimes inclement weather), squatting, stooping, jogging, sprinting, or bending into awkward positions while performing job functions
