    Youth Crisis Center Peer Support Specialist 
    Location: Nampa, Idaho( On-site) 
    Employment Type: PRN 
    Salary: $18–$19/hour

    About the Role 
    Clarvida is seeking Youth Peer Support Specialists to support young people experiencing a behavioral health crisis at our Youth Behavioral Health Community Crisis Center. Youth in crisis require focused attention, skilled intervention, and compassionate guidance. 
    In this role, you will use your lived experience to promote recovery, resiliency, self-advocacy, and empowerment. You will help youth understand their role in accessing services, become informed consumers of their care, and navigate the crisis center environment. As part of an interdisciplinary team, you will use crisis-intervention skills to help de-escalate, stabilize, and support youth through immediate behavioral health needs. 
    Not Yet Certified? 
    If you are not yet certified as a Youth Peer Support Specialist through the Idaho Department of Health & Welfare, you may still apply. If you meet state requirements and are interested in becoming certified, please include a cover letter expressing your interest. Clarvida may assist with certification costs after hire. 
    Responsibilities 
    Provide peer-based support to youth experiencing behavioral health crises 
    Use your lived experience to model recovery, resilience, and empowerment 
    Help youth understand available services and how to self-advocate 
    Support youth in becoming informed participants in their treatment 
    Assist in crisis de-escalation and stabilization 
    Contribute to a collaborative, trauma-informed crisis environment 
    Maintain documentation and communicate with the interdisciplinary team 
    Required Qualifications 
    Idaho Peer Support Specialist Certificate (or willingness to become certified) 
    Ability to obtain Optum Idaho Youth Peer Support Endorsement 
    High School Diploma or GED 
    Ability to pass background checks, including Enhanced Fingerprinting with ID DHW 
    Compensation & Benefits 
    $18–$19/hour 
    PRN- approximately 5+ hours a week
    PRN stipend for every three shifts covered within a 60-day period
    Day, swing, and overnight shifts offered  
    Overnight pay differential
