The Summer Youth Development Professional (YDP) is a temporary position responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising engaging summer activities for youth from June 15 to July 31, 2026, with onboarding by June 1, 2026.
This role involves creating a safe, inclusive, and positive environment, guiding positive behavior, coordinating educational and fun activities, and ensuring safety and program quality. Responsibilities include supervising members, maintaining records, managing equipment, and keeping the facility clean and organized. The YDP fosters positive relationships with youth, families, staff, and volunteers, and participates in staff training.
Requirements include being at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma or GED, at least one year of experience with school-aged youth, strong communication skills, and proficiency in computer use. The position demands active engagement, flexibility, and the ability to motivate and manage youth behavior. Salary ranges from $18.50 to $21.00 hourly.
