Under the general supervision of the Director of Community Affairs or designee, the Youth Engagement Program Coordinator supports the Virgin Islands Police Department in the development, administration, and coordination of youth-centered programs including the Weed & Seed Program, Police Activity League (PAL), and the Cadet Leadership & Development Program. Incumbent works directly with youth, community leaders, schools, and law enforcement personnel to foster positive engagement, leadership development, and crime prevention initiatives targeting youth and young adults. May supervise program aides, volunteers, or youth leaders.
Work is performed at the pleasure of the Governor, and the incumbent may be assigned by leadership or management to fill roles as needs or shortages arise. This position requires a confidential relationship to a policy maker. Job Type: Exempt
