The Youth & Family Services Capacity Building VISTA will strengthen systems, community partnerships, volunteer engagement, and resource development efforts that expand services for youth and families experiencing housing instability, family conflict, runaway situations, and related crises. The member will build organizational capacity by developing sustainable volunteer management systems, strengthening community outreach efforts, enhancing resource referral networks, improving program evaluation tools, and supporting grant and fundraising initiatives. These activities will help increase access to services and improve long-term outcomes for vulnerable youth and families. Further help on this page can be found by clicking here.
Member Duties : The VISTA member will: develop and enhance volunteer recruitment, orientation, training, and retention systems. Create and update community resource directories for youth and families. Build partnerships with schools, community agencies, faith organizations, and local stakeholders. Design outreach materials and community awareness campaigns. Collect and analyze program data to support performance measurement and continuous improvement. Develop surveys and evaluation tools to assess program effectiveness. Assist with researching grant opportunities and compiling community needs information for funding proposals. Create manuals, guides, and standard operating procedures that improve organizational sustainability. Support development of referral systems and community collaboration strategies. Document best practices and create resources for future staff and volunteers.
