Clarvida is seeking an engaging, compassionate, and motivated Youth Mentor Supervisor to lead a team dedicated to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children, youth, and families in the Pottsville community.

This is more than a supervisory role. It is an opportunity to develop staff, strengthen services, build community partnerships, and directly influence the quality of care provided to young people and families.

As the Youth Mentor Supervisor, you will balance leadership and program oversight with meaningful direct involvement in services. You will coach and develop Youth Mentors, help strengthen individual and group programming, collaborate with families and community partners, and use program outcomes to continuously improve the services we provide.

What You'll Do

Lead, Coach & Develop Your Team

  • Provide ongoing supervision, coaching, training, and support to Youth Mentors.
  • Help staff strengthen their mentoring, engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, observations, and feedback sessions that promote professional growth and accountability.
  • Create a positive team culture where staff feel supported, valued, and connected to the purpose of their work.

Create Meaningful Experiences for Youth & Families

  • Oversee the delivery of high-quality individual and group mentoring services.
  • Develop and facilitate engaging activities that promote connection, skill development, confidence, and community involvement.
  • Maintain approximately 10 hours per week of direct service, allowing you to remain connected to the youth and families our program supports.
  • Monitor mentoring relationships and help staff navigate challenges, barriers, and higher-need situations.

Strengthen the Program

  • Monitor program outcomes and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) measures to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Help develop, evaluate, and maintain program policies, goals, and service standards.
  • Review service delivery and performance information to strengthen program effectiveness.
  • Support performance and quality improvement initiatives and accreditation readiness.
  • Maintain accurate program records and ensure services are delivered in alignment with organizational and regulatory expectations.

Build Strong Community Partnerships

  • Develop collaborative relationships with families, schools, Children and Youth Services, and other community partners.
  • Represent the program professionally and advocate for services that support positive outcomes for youth and families.
  • Provide court testimony when required as part of child placement or service-related proceedings.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Minimum Associate’s degree (preferably any social science) or Bachelors Degree level
  • 3+ years of experience working with children and families (paid or unpaid)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in case management or providing direct services to children/families
  • Knowledge of child development, motivational interviewing, and family systems
