Youth Move Colorado is dedicated to making a lasting positive impact on young people affected by poverty or at risk of homelessness. Our multifaceted approach aims to empower youth by enhancing their access to vital resources, ensuring all young have health futures and economic opportunity. Our program joins with local non-profits across Colorado. As a VISTA member you will play a pivotal role in increasing capacity by working with staff and partners to assess needs, research solutions, and develop tools, systems, and frameworks that strengthen programs to prevent housing crises by reducing barriers and improving access to essential services. Member Duties : As an AmeriCorps VISTA, you will strengthen the capacity of local nonprofits serving under-resourced youth. 1) Conduct community map for internal resource-mapping system and data tool for site and outreach planning that includes strategies to address barriers to access and service gaps. 2) Expand care coordination and youth access system including tracking tools and training and engagement templates for the delivery of Pathways Prevention. 3) Grow Public Will by developing strategies, content libraries and communication tool to increasing awareness of resources, best practice and opportunities for under resources youth. 4) Develop toolkits and service plan templates to increase youth engagement for youth via service projects (Homeless Youth Awareness Month, MLK Day, Children's Mental Health Acceptance Week, Colorado Youth Awareness Week).
