Position Overview
As an After School Counselor, you will provide direct supervision and leadership to elementary and middle school-aged children in an engaging and safe environment. You will lead recreational activities, educational programs, arts and crafts, games, and enrichment activities while serving as a positive role model and mentor.
You will play a key role in creating a fun, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
Responsibilities
- Supervise groups of children in a safe and structured environment
- Lead age-appropriate activities, games, and enrichment programs
- Promote positive behavior and effective classroom management
- Monitor student safety at all times
- Assist with attendance tracking and program documentation
- Build positive relationships with students, families, and staff
- Support program goals and daily operations
- Help maintain clean, organized, and safe activity areas
- Follow all safety, health, and child supervision guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings and training opportunities
