Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To support the U-Turn 180 Coordinator in specific areas and programming. Responsible for supporting programs and strategies to address the identified needs. The specialist also manages and supervises Children and Youth Volunteers.  Responsible for supporting and planning activities for U-Turn 180 Programs.

Core Duties and Responsibilities 
  • 65% Program Planning, and Delivery
    • Plan, support, and implement delivery of recurring 6th-12th grade  programs that align with company, student, and grant goals
  • Support the daily operation of 6th-12th grade programs
  • Support partnership with community organizations to identify and report trends and priorities needed for children and youth in the community 
  • Help identify gaps in service delivery and recommend strategies for improvement to program coordinator
  • Work collaboratively with other program staff at Family Values For Life and within youth programs department
  • Ensure implementation of Family Values For Life policies and procedures in all work processes 
  • Provide oversight of volunteers working in children and youth programs
  • Participate in student recruitment events, assisting U-Turn 180 Coordinator in engaging parents in student sign-ups

  • 15% Volunteer Management: 
    • Assist Coordinators in recruiting and screening volunteers for children and youth programs
    • Train volunteers for work in youth programming and events dedicated to children and youth
    • Assist in maintenance of volunteer database 
  • 10% Communications and Outreach
    • Assist Coordinators in maintain communications and recruitment of students, parents, families, and volunteers (with emails, newsletters, and flyers
    • Assisting other Family Values staff, events, and programs
  • 5% Other duties as assigned  
    • Office administrative duties
    • Support U-Turn 180 Coordinator in large-org events as time allows
  • 5% Administrative and Financial Management of the Program 
    • Ensure all program and event data is tracked for grant purposes
    • Submit statistics and program reports to U-Turn 180 Coordinator for funding/grants
    • Collaborate with U-Turn 180 Coordinator on budget allocation and determining program fund and material needs material and funds needs for programming
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid ID and reliable transportation.
  • Must submit to a Criminal Background Study.
  • Must be able to work in the U.S.
