Whether it's a first-timer sending their first V0 or a longtime member catching up at basecamp, we want every visit to feel like coming home to the crag.About the RoleLocation: Ogden Gym Pay: $17–$19/hour Schedule: Part-Time - afternoons, evenings & weekendsAs Youth Programs Instructor, you'll coach our youth team athletes, run After-School Program sessions, lead birthday parties, and guide youth groups through the ropes (literally). You'll work with climbers of every age and ability, helping them build skills, confidence, and a genuine love for the sport - all while keeping the safety and stoke high.What You'll DoDeliver hands-on climbing instruction and training to kids of all ages and abilitiesApply solid assessment and program design principles to keep sessions engaging and effectiveGreet every participant with energy and warmth - and actually learn their namesKeep an eye on the wall, catching unsafe behavior before it becomes a problem (loose kids in fall zones, gear left on mats, running, etc.)Make sure kids stay in the right zones and aren't disrupting other membersHelp keep gym resources and facilities in good shapeJump in on other tasks as needed - flexibility is part of the sendWhat You BringYou might be a great fit if:You genuinely love teaching and connecting with kidsYour schedule is open for afternoons, evenings, and weekendsYou've got 5+ years of experience across work, higher ed, or trade training - bonus points for 1-2 years in climbing instruction or programmingYou're an avid climber or outdoor athlete yourselfYou can motivate a room of young athletes with clear, positive communicationYou bring high energy, a great attitude, and real team spiritYou're First Aid/CPR certified and Safe Sport trained (or ready to get certified - we'll train you, including CWI)You're physically ready to reach, bend, twist, pull, stoop, and lift up to 25 lbs, plus stand, sit, or walk for extended stretchesYou like building systems and checklists that keep things running smoothlyYou put member experience first, solving problems on the fly to keep every guest stokedPerks & BenefitsFree gym membershipDiscounts on food and merchandiseHands-on training and certifications (CWI, Safe Sport, and more)A community-driven workplace where climbing is the culture, not just the jobJoin Us!If you're ready to shape the next generation of climbers and be part of a crew that treats the gym like basecamp, we'd love to see your application.
