Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Three years of experience in library services for children or young adults; OR in teaching/curriculum development for children or young adults are required.

The incumbent in this position will be responsible for overseeing and operating a childrens department in a public library, including programming, planning, promoting, and implementing childrens activities. This position will be tasked with analyzing collection development needs and selecting appropriate library materials, planning, and preparing displays and exhibits, maintaining the library databases bibliographic records, assisting children with book choices, answering questions from teachers and parents, providing readers advisory services, and serving as the library branch supervisor in the managers absence.
