Job Description

The Youth Skills Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging, practical training that helps young people develop essential life skills. The role involves planning and facilitating activities, mentoring participants, assessing progress, and creating a supportive learning environment that encourages confidence, independence, and personal growth.

Staff must be comfortable teaching hygiene skills to a female.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver interactive skills-training sessions for youth.
  • Support participants in developing various life skills.
  • Provide mentoring, guidance, and constructive feedback.
  • Track participant progress and maintain training records.
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners as needed.

Requirements

  • 2 years of experience working with children/teens
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Drivers license, reliable vehicle, and vehicle insurance
