About the Role:
Albany Berkeley Soccer Club is looking for a passionate and energetic Youth Soccer Coach to inspire the next generation of players in Berkeley, CA. Responsibilities:
  • Plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate soccer practices and training sessions
  • Teach fundamental soccer skills including dribbling, passing, shooting, and defensive techniques
  • Coach players during games, providing real-time feedback and tactical guidance
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging team environment
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding player development and schedules
  • Monitor player progress and adjust training programs to meet individual and team needs
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all players during practices and matches
Requirements:
  • Previous experience coaching or playing soccer at a youth, club, or competitive level
  • Strong understanding of soccer rules, techniques, and player development principles
  • US Soccer or USSF coaching license (preferred or willingness to obtain)
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with youth and parents
  • Patient, motivating, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for youth development
  • Must pass a background check
