Youth Specialist (Youth ACT Clinical Support Staff)

$6,000 Sign-On Bonus | Full-Time | Community-Based Behavioral Health

Liberty Resources is seeking a compassionate Youth Specialist to join our Youth Assertive Community Treatment (Youth ACT) team. In this role, you'll provide community-based behavioral health services that help youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) build the skills needed to succeed at home, in school, and in their communities.

Position Summary

As a Youth Specialist, you'll provide strength-based, trauma-informed services in homes, schools, and community settings. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you'll help youth and families achieve individualized treatment goals while promoting emotional, behavioral, social, and independent living skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide community-based rehabilitative and supportive services to youth and families.
  • Deliver services in home, school, and community settings.
  • Support treatment goals through engagement, skill-building, and recovery-focused interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, schools, healthcare providers, and community partners.
  • Participate in crisis intervention, safety planning, and stabilization efforts.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with OMH, Medicaid, and agency standards.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience working with youth and families in behavioral health or human services.
  • Valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Youth ACT, trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, CANS-NY, OMH standards, and electronic health records.

Salary

$50,000 annually
