Dragonfly Counselling & Support Centre is a non-profit, charitable organization supporting children, youth, and adults impacted by sexual violence and providing education and prevention programming related to sexual violence. DCSC's service region involves communities such as Athabasca, Slave Lake, Wabasca, Smoky Lake, Bonnyville, Cold Lake, Lac La Biche, St Paul and other rural and/or remote locations including Metis and First Nations communities.
We are seeking an empathetic, organized, and proactive leader to step into the role of Youth Suicide Prevention Program Lead. In this position, you will oversee the coordination, development, and delivery of DCSC’s youth suicide prevention initiative, Roots & Wings.
You will manage three integrated program streams, school-based, group, and family-based programming while driving regional outreach across the DCSC service region.
Lead day-to-day delivery, development, and expansion for all Roots & Wings streams.
Coordinate clinic and outreach schedules, delegating tasks and providing guidance to facilitators, volunteers, and practicum students.
Collaborate with internal departments to tailor educational resources for specialized youth demographics.
Facilitate community facing suicide awareness sessions and trauma informed workshops for school staff, partner agencies, and community members.
Monitor program outcome data and ensure all grant deliverables and targets are met.
Provide hands on care, including running school drop-in clinics, conducting crisis triage, and performing risk assessments for youth.
Facilitate group programs and support family cohesion through The Taproot Program using culturally safe and developmentally appropriate practices.
Travel to rural, remote, Métis, and First Nations partner communities to establish clear referral pathways and deliver direct outreach.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (equivalencies considered).
Minimum 5 years of experience in human services or not for profit organizations.
Proven expertise in trauma informed, anti-oppressive, and client centered care.
Fluent with Microsoft Office.
This is ahybrid role where regular regional outreach is required to serve rural communities and local Métis Settlements and First Nations communities in the DCSC service area.
