Position Summary The Youth Transportation Specialistis responsible forthe safe andtimelytransportation of youth participants between designated pick-up locations and the VOICES program site. This position requires strong judgment, professional communication skills, and the ability tomaintainappropriate structureand expectations while transporting youth. Key Responsibilities Safe Youth Transportation Operate an 11- or 15-passenger VOICES vehicle safely and professionallyFollow assigned morning and afternoon routesEnsure all passengers are seated and secure during transportAdhere to all traffic laws and safety regulationsVehicle & Safety Oversight Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections dailyMaintainaccuratetransportation and mileage logsImmediately report mechanical issues, accidents, or safety concernsMaintain vehicle cleanliness and organizationYouth Engagement & Communication Maintain professional and respectful interactions with youthReinforce VOICES expectations during transportCommunicate attendance concerns, delays, or incidents to site leadershipSupport consistent program engagement through reliable serviceMinimum Qualifications (Required) Must be 21 years of age or olderValid Indiana Driver's License with clean driving recordAbility to pass criminal background checkMinimum of 1 year experience in youth or school transportationExperienceoperating11- or 15-passenger vehiclesStrong reliability, punctuality, and professional communication skillsAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgmentPreferred Qualifications Experience working in structured youth programsExperience in school transportation, youth services, or community programsFamiliarity with transporting court-involved or systemimpactedyouthWhy Join VOICES?
