SERVPRO Team Dobson is seeking a dependable, hardworking Floor Technician to join our team at Youngstown State University. Just bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn!Schedule: Monday through Friday | 5PM - 1:30AM (No Overtime)What You'll Do
As a Floor Technician, you'll play a key role in maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of university facilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Carpet cleaning and extraction
- Preparing floors for cleaning, buffing, burnishing, and refinishing
- Operating floor care equipment, including auto scrubbers, floor machines, burnishers, and vacuums
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming hard and soft floor surfaces
- Performing floor maintenance to ensure a clean, polished, and professional appearance
- Cleaning various surface types throughout campus facilities
- Properly mixing, using, and disposing of cleaning chemicals and solutions
- Identifying and reporting maintenance or repair needs to management
- Following all safety procedures and cleaning schedules
- Delivering quality work in a timely and consistent manner
Physical Requirements
This position requires a high level of physical activity and the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, reach, push, pull, and lift
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Climb ladders and work at elevated heights
- Work in confined or tight spaces when necessary
- Safely operate cleaning and floor care equipment
- Work around cleaning chemicals and other cleaning-related materials
