Responsibilities\n \nThe Zoning Plans Examiner is responsible for reviewing development proposals, site plans, and permit applications to ensure compliance with the City's zoning code and applicable land use regulations. This position leads the administrative review of zoning plans to support the implementation of the adopted zoning code and promote high-quality development throughout the community. The role works closely with property owners, developers, architects, and contractors to explain zoning requirements and assist applicants in achieving compliance during the permitting process. The Zoning Plans Examiner collaborates with internal departments to coordinate development review and ensure projects align with planning policies and best practices. The position also provides technical guidance related to zoning interpretation, maintains accurate review records, and helps resolve complex zoning issues.
