Job Duties: • Perform required Vehicle Maintenance and thorough inspection of all Vehicle Systems, including Engine, Brakes, Steering, Suspension, A/C, and Electrical • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform high quality and efficient repairs with a "fix it right the first time" approach • Perform Quality Control Inspections on Vendor repaired Vehicles to ensure repairs are completed • Create Estimates and communicate directly and effectively with Service Coordinators and Parts Department • Use OEM scan tools and Fleet software • Help at various shops based on workload • Must be able to work in hot and cold conditions and in tight places • Must be able to lift and/or move 50lbs • Must help Maintain excellent customer satisfaction • Perform any additional task assigned by management. Exercises simple hand grasping, power hand grasping, fine hand manipulation, and reaching from foot level to above shoulder level as necessary to complete assigned tasks .
Automotive Service Excellence/ASE certification or Society of Automotive Engineers/SAE certification is preferred. Carry out routine vehicle maintenance tasks such as tire rotations, oil changes, and brake pad replacements.
The Senior Automotive Technician will be exposed to moderate to loud noises, dust, exhaust fumes, lubricants, petroleum products, vapors, caustic materials, and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials. Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
