Maintains contacts both internal and external to the district, including senior management, union representatives, service center personnel, members of the state, local and federal government, foreign government aviation officials, general public, ATO Service Units, FAA lines of business, representative of the aviation industry and military to facilitate resolution of air traffic operational and technical program issues. Managerial duties typically affect employees and managers in more than one organizational unit/project/program and include: planning, communicating the organizations vision and objectives, setting priorities, assigning tasks and responsibilities, monitoring and evaluating performance, coaching and developing employee capabilities, approving leave and taking, recommending or approving corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate.
