The Swing shift Composite Alternate Lead Mechanic steps in as a leader when the primary Lead is unavailable, ensuring all repairs, modifications, and tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. + Constant: Standing, walking, lifting up to 10 lbs., wrist movements, working in varied environmental weather conditions.
Using the source materials, you are expected to interpret, formulate, affect data and will write, re-write and/or edit technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications to communicate clearly. Responsibilities: Repairs, replaces and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as cowlings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet guns and drills. Reads and interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other related documentation to determine feasibility and method of altering or repairing the aircraft and its associated components, determining the airworthiness of the aircraft and its associated components and replacement for malfunctioning or damaged components.
Examines aircraft, engines, components and materials and records results of inspections to ensure continued airworthiness through accomplishment of the following duties: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. + Process daily incoming and outgoing material to meet Quality Control requirements as stated in the AAR Procedures Manual and Customer Requirements Manual. + Occasionally: Lifting, carry, and push/pull ≤50 lbs., sitting, working overhead, basic color vision, operation of motorized/electrical equipment, and work in wet conditions.
